2009 VS 2013

more than likely, this is the same lil bird. as it is critically endangered, and i doubt the akron zoo received another one. currently this cutie 'bali myna' is within it's own enclosure behind glass at the zoo - while the 2009 photo was taken in an aviary cage-thing on a wooden bridge. (which they revamped in 2013, it remained closed for years...)

i took full advantage of the lighting with the 2013 photo, and made sure the aperture was set so that the background of the painted 'forest' could not be seen. 2009 - no idea what aperture was, especially since i had only been using a regular digital camera. i also learned the importance of centering your subject in the majority of the frame -with the 2009 camera, that is as close as i could get, which doesn't help either... (it did help that i was able to get pretty close to the lil guy in the 2013 photo, giving me more to work with) when i took the 2009 photo, i knew that it wasn't the best picture ever - i just like the little bird and wanted to share him. but now i can proudly share him in the 2013 version

just the color capture by both cameras too, is insane. the 2009 looks blotchy, like i stretched out the photo - looks grainy.
